Bartlett Lake 12.14.2018

We arrived at the lake at 7 am. Temperature was 39 degrees and the water temp was 54 degrees. I decided to run up to the North part of the lake and started fishing with crank baits and spinner baits, but did not have any luck. We switched to A-Rigs and Buzz baits, but still these did not catch any fish. The fish were very lethargic due to cold water. Later that day, we switched to plastic baits on the bottom. We used football jigs 1/4 and 3/8 and worked these baits in 20′ of water. We put Yamamoto Hula grubs (watermelon candy and green pumpkin) on these jig heads. We also used baby brush hogs (watermelon candy) 1/4 oz weights Texas Rigged. Total time fishing 6 hours and landed 9 bass.
