Bartlett Lake 12.20.2018

Today we arrived at the lake at 9:30 am. Decided to start fishing later, to give the water a chance to warm up a bit. Water temp was 53 degrees. The bass do not want to bite or chase lures when the water is so cold. The best thing I found to use in these conditions are small plastic baits. We started with baby brush hogs Texas rigged (watermelon seed and watermelon candy). Move the bait on the bottom very slowly. The fish will bite on drop shot with a 4″ (morning dawn) Robo worm. Caught 7 healthy bass! Some were 2.5 lbs.
