The lake is full and dirty, went across to he other side looking for clearer and warmer water. The backs of coves are where we fished. We tried crank baits and spinner baits for a hour with no luck. We had to slow down and use drop shot and Texas rigs to put the baits in front of their faces. I dipped the 5150 Plactic tails with chartreuse to give them some better color. We landed one fish lost one at the boat, and Bob got one good bite, and missed it. Fishing after a major front like we had is always harder to catch fish. The fish have moved up to 15 feet deep just waiting for warmer water to spawn. The fishing will get better as soon as it gets warmer. Good luck fishing.

Today we started in castle creek caught one fish. We then went to humbug creek and stay about 4 hours flipping brush hogs in the trees and bushes, caught one fish. We left humbug and went out to the main lake to drop shot all the points and islands we could in 2 hours. I caught another fish and lost one by the boat. We used 5150 plastic worms the color was pmj . The baby brush was watermelon. 3 fish caught one lost. Total weight 5.41 lbs good luck out there. The lake was clear and almost full.

The lake just came up 40 feet and is very dirty. On a day like to this where do you start with all this muddy water. I started fishing at 9.30 a.m. Why did I start this late in the morning. My clients didn’t want to start early because it’s always windy and colder, and the fish bite better later in the day. We tried a lot of different colors of worms. The fish liked chartreuse on the tail of the worms or creature baits. Try and find a little water that is not the color of chocolate milk. Total caught 8 bass. Good luck out there
