Air temp – 47 degrees. Water Temp – 54 degrees
Arrived at the lake 7 am castle creek ramp. I wanted to try fishing the upper end of the lake first. I used a small swim bait and a umbrella rig with smaller baits, just trying to catch any size of fish. This lasted about 1 1/2 hours – no fish. I kept looking for balls of shad and fish and how deep they were staying in. We fished in all the big coves in the northern end of the lake. We then moved back into the main lake looking for deep fish. Even though we found a lot of fish and shad they still wouldn’t bite. We only caught 4 fish total. The fish were caught on Texas rig brush hogs, and drop shots morning dawn. Thanks for coming to this web site. Spread the word about these fishing reports.
