Wednesday afternoon we did a half day trip to Roosevelt and started catching fish with drop shot Robo worms (morning dawn) and Zoom trick worms (watermelon candy). Switched to TX Rig power worms (7″ green pumpkin) and TX Rig brush hogs (watermelon red). A few fish were caught on crank baits. Total 22 bass caught that afternoon.
Thursday continued fishing Roosevelt at 6 am and started with top water Rico’s. Caught 2 bass. Switched to crank baits and chatter baits and caught 8 more bass! At 9 am moved into deeper water and used the same TX Rig power worms and brush hogs. Caught many fish with these techniques and baits. At 11 am changed to Carolina Rigs with worms and brush hogs. Total fish caught today – 60 ranging in size from 1 lb to 4 lbs. The fish were hungry and biting because of the excess rain for the past two days.
